GDPR for municipalities

Municipalities may process citizens' contact data on the basis of legitimate interest or performance of a task in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR). For informational SMS (outages, emergencies) consent is usually not required. For leisure events and marketing, we recommend obtaining consent. In the application, you keep a record for each contact of the reason for processing and its validity.
